Clean Energy Coalition has organized this workshop as a part of the Technical Assistance the State has asked us to provide in support of EECBG awardees. These solutions can stimulate Michigan's economy, and municipalities can help lead the way to stronger budgets and energy independence throughout your community.

Pat Murphy, author of Plan C: Community Survival Strategies, is coming to Michigan to share his experiences and research with local municipalities -- Join us!

Mr. Murphy defines a community as ‘a few thousand’ people living within an area of ‘a few square miles’ …  such as a neighborhood, village or district. His strategy identifies ‘small community’ as the solution – one that optimizes both physical and human resources.

Our renewed economic activity can be refocused around energy efficiency while enhancing our quality of life. The EECBG program is the kick-off for many Michigan communities as we move toward our new economy.

Dean Jackson from Planet Footprint will be on a panel to discuss Energy Accounting, at this workshop for small and medium-sized communities.

Visit us as booth 479 at this year's American Public Works Association annual conference and expo.   Planet Footprint will have a barman and a keg of complementary (light) beer on the Sunday afternoon.

Out of all municipal or county departments, Public Works usually have the biggest energy and fuel bills and the most complex set of utility accounts and meters to manage.   Send your Public Works director to us for a chat about where the energy is going and how to really get control of utility costs.
