Local Governments creating or updating greenhouse gas inventories for their local government operations.

Randwick City Council used the reports and data from its Planet Footprint subscription to help complete its Milestone 5 reinventory. This enabled Council to complete the reinventory update component of the Milestone 5 process in a matter of hours, instead of days. Specifically:

- Council pivoted its Planet Footprint Service Detail Data spreadsheets for electricity and gas to show consumption and costs by account number and name. This information was then copied and pasted into the buildings and wate/sewer sectors of the online CCP inventory software.

- Council extracted data from its Planet Footprint Organisation Footprint Report - Streetlights for direct entry into the online CCP inventory software.

- Council referred to its Organisation Footprint Report - Fleet to enter upper level data into the online CCP inventory software. This data was complemented by detailed fleet data supplied by Council's fleet department.

- Council used its Planet Footprint Organisation Footprint Report - Greenhouse to cross check the totals each sector in the online CCP inventory software for accuracy.

- Council referred to Planet Footprint's Anomaly Report to precisely identify the periods of exceptional consumption increases for specific accounts, to explain changes in performance of sites between the base and reinventory years. This was entered as narrative in the notes section of the online CCP inventory software.
